Teacup Pomeranian Stats
Name: Teacup Pomeranians
Origins
Pomeranians come from the Spitz family. They received their name from Pomerania, which is presently Germany and Poland. The breed became extremely popular when Queen Victoria had one imported from Italy. From there, their popularity spread throughout Europe and carried over to the United States, leading to AKC recognition in 1900. Teacup Pomeranians were bred from smaller-sized Pomeranians, thus creating the tinier classification. Teacup Pomeranians have risen in popularity over the last decade.
